Since everyone takes such GREAT pictures at the International Event, and we've been having so much fun with the photo contest... we decided to hold the fourth Annual Mosaic Photo Contest. The framework is simple:
1) Take photos on the Pre-Trip or at the International Event
2) Email the photos to us by 9/21
3) Wait for the judging and announcement of winners!
Photos will be judged in the following six categories:
Winning photos will be displayed prominently at this site once judging has been completed. First prize winners in each category will receive a $25 discount off the 2011 International Event; one "Best in Show" photo will receive a $50 discount off the 2011 International Event.
Photos will be judged by an independent panel of 3 to 5 professional photographer, artist and hobbyist members of Mosaic.

OFFICIAL RULES
This contest will be open to all registered and paid attendees of the Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America 2010 International Event, except for judges of the contest, who will not be eligible to enter or win.
The contest shall consist of six categories, "Action," "Critters," "Flowers & Plants," "People," "Scenery," and "miscellaneous." A photographer may submit to any or all of the six categories, but may only win in one category.
A photographer may enter up to a total of six photographs into the contest, in any combination of categories. Note that this is a total of six photographs for the entire contest, not six per category. If more than six entries are received from any participant, and no instructions are provided to the contrary, the last six images received will be deemed the participant's entries.
Photographs must be taken during the 2010 Mosaic International Event and be submitted no later than 21 September, 2010, 11:59 PM US Eastern Daylight Time. Mosaic is not responsible for lost or misdirected email, website or technical difficulties, or any other factors that may delay submission to the contest. All entries must be submitted via email to Liz.
All entries to the contest will be reviewed by a panel of judges, who will select a winning photograph in each category. The winner in each category will displayed prominently in an online photo gallery that will be available to view after October 5, 2010. There will be one "Best in Show" winner who will receive a $50 discount off the price of the 2011 Mosaic International Event. There will be one first prize winner in each category who will receive a $25 discount off of the 2011 Mosaic International Event. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
By entering the contest, you grant Mosaic a nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable (through multiple tiers) license to exercise any rights you have in the submitted photograph, (including publishing, disseminating, broadcasting, manipulating, reproducing, editing, translating, performing, modifying, or displaying any part of the photograph) alone or as part of other work in any form, media, or technology whether now known or hereafter developed, to enable Mosaic to continue the specific operation, publicity and marketing of the contest, of MOCA's activities and products, and of Mosaic itself. This includes, but is certainly not limited to email "newsletters."
Winners will be notified by email after judging has been completed.
