FULL DAY ACTIVITIES

Today, we'll head off camp to explore the beautiful Laurentian Mountains. A variety of activities are scheduled; all will depart camp in the morning and return in time for dinner. Some will get back in early afternoon; others closer to dinner. So you'll be able to choose ONE activity from the below list. Note that MOST of these activities will be repeated on Sunday.

Via Ferrata du Diable: Premiering in Quebec's national parks and wildlife reserves, an exciting route built on the Vache Noire rock wall. Situated in the Diable sector, in the Laurentians, the Via Ferrata promises to be chock-full of surprises! You will bring back wonderful memories of your adventure during which you will safely cross a challenging cliff face with beams and various types of bridges, overlooking the meandering Rivière du Diable. After making a 200-metre ascent, you will be struck by the spectacular view of the mountains and horizon. No rock climbing experience is necessary to experience the via ferrata. A brief course will help you learn the basics of via ferrata before tackling the trail. All required safety equipment is provided. Cost is $55 USD.

Bike the Trails at Tremblant: Enjoy a scenic bike ride in the beautiful Laurentian Mountains. All abilities welcome. Price of $42 USD includes full day rental, helmet and protective gear.

You will depart after breakfast and return after lunch for this excursion. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the waterfront, or enjoying the other great amenities back at camp. Cost is $75 USD.

Easy Hikes: We'll head over to the Mont Tremblant area for an easy 2-3 hour hike on area trails. If time, we explore the shops and galleries in Tremblant Village upon our return. No charge.

Moderate Hikes: We'll take a moderate 4-5 hour hike on trails in the Mont Tremblant area of the beautiful Laurentian mountains. Details TBD. No charge.

Difficult Hikes: Looking for a challenge? Our difficult hikes will explore the most challenging and interesting terrain in the Mont Tremblant area. Details TBD. No charge.

EVENING ACTIVITIES

Creative Outdoor Shabbat Service: Not your everyday Shabbat service. Mosaic is an all-volunteer organization, so this will be a lead by lay-leaders instead of clergy. You won't believe the energy as you dance, sing, and pray your way into Shabbat.

Shabbat Dinner: A traditional Shabbat dinner, complete with all the fixin's, will be served in the dining hall.

Israeli Dancing: Join our facilitators in the traditional Israeli folk dances that we have come to know and love. Most are done in a circle, without partners, similar to the hora. If you know how the dances, you'll have no trouble at all. If you've never done them before, there will be instruction at the beginning of each dance, and you'll pick it up in no time.

Campfire: The campfire will be lit after the Meet & Greet. As always, there will always be s'mores served. The fire will remain lit as long as people want to enjoy it.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th

YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED - everyone stays on camp on Saturday. There will be so much to do, you'll hardly know what to do first. If you have a workshop or a talk you would like to share, we'd love to hear from you!

MORNING ACTIVITIES

Sunrise Hike: We'll stretch our legs on the trails around camp as the sun rises to start the day.

Breakfast: Breakfast is served early enough for those who want to get an early start, but will continue late enough for those who want to sleep in a little.

Ball Hockey: Ball Hockey game on the most beautiful ball hockey rink you may ever see. Balls and sticks provided. You'll know you're Canada when you realize that "SHOOT" means hit the puck!

Can You Canoe?!: Almost anyone can get from here to there in a canoe. But can you get from here to there smoothly, with minimum energy, safely, and without yelling at your paddling partner? Brenlee will teach paddling strokes: basic stroke, draws and pries, sweeps, J-stroke. Those who show proficiency will then be taught some solo skills. Added bonus option: do you know what to do if a canoe tips? Those who wish will be taught rescue techniques. Rescue practice will require getting wet.

It's so moving to be part of a circle of 150 people, in the twilight, with candles flickering, all while singing, chanting, and praying. Drink the wine, smell the spices, see the flames.

Games Night: Do you love Scrabble? Cards? Or are you more of a charades person? Whatever the game - you'll likely find others who want to play, as we chill out after dinner.

Campfire: The campfire is the central place for people to gather at night. Sing, play games, mingle, or just relax and look up at the stars. Of course, there will always be s'mores served. If you'd like, you can make a coal-burned Kiddush cup while you're sitting around the fire. The fire will remain lit as long as people want to enjoy it.

Square and/or Country Dancing: Professional instruction provided. Yeehaw!
