ARRIVING BY PLANE
Please plan to fly into Los Angeles Intl. Airport (LAX). You want to secure your tickets as soon as possible as flights are limited and it is a holiday weekend.
Plan to arrive at LAX no later than 2:30 p.m. on Friday, 9/4, if you want to catch the last shuttle organized by Mosaic to the camp. If you plan to rent a car in Los Angeles, feel free to arrive whenever you wish. Check in at camp will open at 3:00 p.m. If you want to arrive at camp earlier, your help with various setup and check-in tasks will be greatly appreciated.
DEPARTING BY PLANE
If you need a shuttle back to the airport on Monday, make your return arrangements to leave LAX no earlier than 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 7. There will be people departing on red-eye flights as late as 10:00 p.m. on Monday, 9/7. If you are departing late, activities (primarily hiking) will be organized for Monday, followed by dinner out. We can get you to the airport when you need to be there, but not in time for any departures that are earlier than 10:00 a.m.
AIRPORT & CAMP SHUTTLES
Shuttles from LAX to Camp on Friday: Those people who will be participating in one of the various pre-trip adventure options will not need a shuttle from LAX to the camp on Friday. If you are not on a pre-trip, and will be arriving at LAX on Friday, then we will shuttle you to the camp from LAX to camp on Friday. There will likely be several shuttles throughout the day, but the last one to camp will be departing LAX at 3:30 p.m., so you should plan to arrive at the airport no later than 2:30 on Friday afternoon.
Shuttles for Channel Islands & Ventura Pre-Trip Participants: You will be asked to make a reservation, and to pay for it on your own, for a shuttle from LAX to Ventura Harbor upon arrival any time on Wednesday. Mosaic has obtained a reduced rate of $20, and we can group you together with other Mosaic members going to Ventura. The fare for this shuttle must be paid by the participant directly to the shuttle company. You will not be charged for this during the registration for the event. Those who will be camping on the Channel Islands, as well as anyone else going to the Channel Islands for the day on Friday, will be shuttled from Ventura Harbor to the camp as soon as the ferry from the Channel Islands returns to the dock, at about 5:15 pm. If you are in Ventura Harbor, and choose not to go to the Channel Islands on Friday, you will likely have the opportunity to catch a shuttle from Ventura to camp departing at about 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon.
Shuttles for Los Angeles Pre-Trip Participants: If you are on the L.A. Pretrip you will be shuttled to camp from your last activity.
Registration for Shuttles: If you will not be driving on your own, and will utilize the Mosaic shuttles, you will be charged $40 by Mosaic for your round trip shuttle upon registration for the event.

Shuttles for Pacific Coast Highway Pre-Trip Participants: If you are on the Pacific Coast Highway Pre-trip, you will likely take your rental cars right to camp.
CHANGES
Mosaic does reserve the right to make appropriate changes to this schedule and to assign people to busses and vans based on efficient and reasonable capacity loadings.
LOCAL CLUB OPTIONS
Some nearby groups may be providing van service to camp, or helping to coordinate carpools. Please indicate on your registration form if you're interested in vanpooling or carpooling, and we'll pass your info on to your local group for follow up.
ARRIVING BY CAR
If you are driving in to the area, or will be renting your own car, you will not need to pay for any shuttles. In fact, if Mosaic can arrange for you to assist in shuttling others, you will be paid accordingly, and may offset some of the expenses of the car. Check-in at camp opens at 3:00 p.m. and will close at 7:00 p.m. Keep in mind, there will be heavy traffic on Friday afternoon of Labor Day Weekend.
