This year we have four amazing pre-trips to offer before heading to camp on Friday. One starts as early as the previous Saturday, but for most you can arrive either Wednesday or Thursday. Channel Islands Campout Pre-Trip. Camp out on Santa Cruz Island in Channel Islands National Park. One night stay at the Sheraton Four Points Resort in Ventura, with welcome Wine & Cheese Pool Party, then we're off to Santa Cruz Island. The Channel Islands are often described as the Galapagos of California. We'll camp out and spend a couple days hiking and kayaking in this rugged wilderness.
