Since everyone takes such GREAT pictures we decided to hold a Photo Contest.
We only hold this contest if 18 or more people go on our trip.
The framework is simple:
1) Take photos
2) Email the photos to us by 6/15
3) Wait for the judging and announcement of winners!
Photos will be judged in the following five categories:
Action
Critters
Flowers & Plants
People
Scenery
Winning photos will be displayed prominently at www.mosaicoutdoor.org.
First prize winners in each category will receive a $25 off the price your choice of the 2009 or 2010 International Labor Day Event;
Grand Prize “Best in Show” photo will receive a discount of $50 to your choice of the 2009 or 2010 International Labor Day Event
Photos will be judged by an independent panel of 3 to 5 professional photographer, artist and hobbyist members of Mosaic.

OFFICIAL RULES:
This
contest will be open to all registered and paid attendees of the Mosaic
Outdoor Clubs of America (MOCA) Follow the Yellowstone Road event,
except for judges of the contest, who will not be eligible to enter or
win.
The contest shall consist of five categories, “Action,”
“Critters,” “Flowers & Plants,” “People” and “Scenery.” A
photographer may submit to any or all of the five categories, but may
only win in one category.
A photographer may enter up to a
total of six photographs into the contest, in any combination of
categories. Note that this is a total of six photographs for the entire
contest, not six per category. If more than six entries are received
from any participant, and no instructions are provided to the contrary,
the last six images received will be deemed the participant's entries.
Photographs
must be taken during the Follow the Yellowstone Road Event and be
submitted no later than June 15 by 11:59 PM US Eastern Daylight Time.
MOCA is not responsible for lost or misdirected email, website or
technical difficulties, or any other factors that may delay submission
to the contest. All entries must be submitted via email to
trips@Mosaicoutdoors.org .
All entries to the contest will
be reviewed by a panel of judges, who will select a winning photograph
in each category. The winner in each category will be displayed
prominently in an online photo gallery that will be available to view
after August 1, 2009. There will be one Grand Prize “Best in Show”
photo will receive a discount of $50 to your choice of the 2009 or 2010
Mosaic International Labor Day Event. There will be one First prize
winners in each category which will receive a $25 off the price your
choice of the 2009 or 2010 Mosaic International Labor Day Event. Taxes,
if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
By
entering the contest, you grant MOCA a nonexclusive, worldwide,
perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub licensable (through multiple
tiers) license to exercise any rights you have in the submitted
photograph, (including publishing, disseminating, broadcasting,
manipulating, reproducing, editing, translating, performing, modifying,
or displaying any part of the photograph) alone or as part of other
work in any form, media, or technology whether now new known or
hereafter developed, to enable MOCA to continue the specific operation,
publicity and marketing of the contest, of MOCA's activities and
products, and of MOCA itself. This includes, but is certainly not
limited to email "newsletters.”
