NEWSLETTER FOR THE MOSAIC OUTDOOR CLUB OF
NORTHEAST OHIO - OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2000
Hello,
Just this past summer Mosaic Outdoor Club of Northeast
Ohio held a variety of activities including but not limited to
numerous hikes, two bike outings, canoeing, and a visit to Six
Flags of Ohio. If you would like to become a member, the
membership year started in July of 2000 and runs through the
end of June 2001. We are currently charging $12 a year
which is then prorated depending upon when you join.
Starting in October, all non-members will be charged $2.00
above what a Mosaic member would pay for an event.
Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America (the national organization)
is already making plans for the 2001 national event which will
be held over Labor Day Weekend (Thursday, August 30th to
Monday, September 3rd) in the Ohio Pyle/Yak river area in
Pennsylvania. Since our club is the closest club to that area,
they have asked us to co-sponsor the event. More than 180
people attended last years event in Maine. If you would like
to help out at this event, please contact either Howard, Dan,
Brett or myself. I will definitely keep you informed about this
exciting national event in upcoming newsletters.
Finally, if you would like to join, please contact Brett Piccus at
(216) 382-1725 to discuss the fee since it is prorated. If you
join in October it will cost $9 and you will be a member in
good standing through June 2001. Checks should be made
payable to Mosaic Outdoor Club of Northeast Ohio and
mailed to: Brett Piccus, 3879 Grosvenor Rd., Cleveland, OH
44118.
Thanks and hope to see you at an event soon.
