JULY EVENTS
DINNER AT GERACI’S/FIREWORKS
WHEN: Tuesday, July 4th at 7:00 p.m. (dinner)
WHAT: Eat Italian food at Geraci’s in University Heights and then go watch fireworks at Shaker Middle School.
WHERE: Geraci’s is located at 2266 Warrensville Center Road. It’s
located at the intersection of Silsby and Warrensville Center Road. The
phone number is

FIREWORKS: The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m at Shaker Heights Middle School (20600 Shaker Boulevard). To get there from Geraci’s, continue south on Warrensville Center Road. When you get to Shaker Boulevard, take a left. Park in the parking lot of the Middle School.
COST: Non-Mosaic members will be charged $2.00. The dinner is on you.

HIKE IN CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA - BOSTON STORE FOLLOWED BY LUNCH
WHEN: Sunday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m.
WHAT: Join us as we hike in the historic Cuyahoga Valley, leaving from the Boston Store, which was the Boston Land and Manufacturing Company, and is currently a canal boat-building museum and meeting place. Afterwards, we will go out to lunch. Note: I called the CVNRA today (7/2/06) and there isn’t any construction currently being done on the roads. However, due to flooding, one will only be able to walk about 2 miles north on the towpath. However, the path isn’t obstructed going south.
WHERE: Boston Store is located at 1548 Boston Mills Road, Peninsula. To get there, take I-271 South to OH 8 South (exit 18) towards Akron/Blossom Music Center/Ohio Turnpike/ Boston Heights. Go about 3.5 miles, then turn right onto E Hines Hill Road. Continue on to W Hines Hill Road, which turns into Boston Mills Road. The Boston Store is on the left.

DINNER AT PICKWICK & FROLIC RESTAURANT AND CLUB/COMEDY AT HILARITIES 4TH STREET THEATRE
WHEN: Saturday, July 15th at 5:30 p.m. (dinner) followed by a 7:30 p.m. non-smoking show.
WHAT: Enjoy dinner at the Pickwick & Frolic Restaurant (entrees (including vegetarian) are from $12 - $27) and then we’ll see the John and Johnny B show at Hilarities.

COST: The dinner is on you. However, in order to make a dinner reservation, they will need a credit card. I will give them my credit card number. My credit card will only be charged $8.00/person if the entire party fails to show. The tickets cost $18.00 (I will have to order them over the phone with my credit card because buying them on-line comes with extra fees). Plus, non-members will be charged $2.00 extra. Please mail a check for the appropriate amount to Gary Grodin, 4091 Linnell Road, South Euclid, Ohio 44121.
CARPOOL: We’ll meet at Border’s at Severance Town Center at 4:50 and we’ll leave at 5:00. It was suggested that we use Valet Parking ($8 on East 4th street) because it probably costs that much to park in the local parking lots. On that day, you will be able to reach Mindy Tumarkin on her cell phone at (216) 849-5681. On that day, starting at 4:30, you will be able to reach Elizabeth on her cell phone at (216) 789-2127.
EVENT HOST: Please RSVP to Mindy Tumarkin’s home phone at (440) 942-8030 by Monday, July 10th. On that day, Elizabeth Eisenberg will find out from Gary Grodin how many people have paid in full. Based upon that number, she will call and reserve a table for dinner with her credit card and pay for the tickets with her credit card.
WHEN: Wednesday, July 19th at 6:00 p.m.
WHAT: After taking a nice leisurely stroll from the Strawberry Lane Picnic Area and back, we will eat dinner at a nearby restaurant.
WHERE: Take SOM Center Road (SR 91) south from Mayfield Road. Pass Wilson Mills and Highland Roads, then turn right at Metroparks entrance (across from White Road). Turn left onto Buttermilk Falls Parkway, and follow to Strawberry Lane parking lot.

WHEN: Sunday, July 23rd at 12:00 p.m.
WHAT: Come and taste a little bit of Hong Kong in Cleveland as we head down to the Chinatown area (yes Cleveland has one) to enjoy a delicious lunch of these wonderful Chinese morsels at Tom’s Seafood Restaurant. On Saturday and Sunday, Tom’s features all you can eat Dim Sum for $8.00 per person. Dim Sum are small appetizers ranging from savory to sweet, usually served as a bun or dumpling, there are also soups, noodle dishes and other small appetizers. Wheeled about the dining room in carts, you will have your pick of exotic yet tasty dishes. If you don’t want that experience, there is a very extensive menu of traditional Chinese dishes. Come join us as we have a point and eat food experience.
WHERE: Tom’s Seafood Restaurant, 3048 St. Clair Avenue. To get there, take Mayfield Road (US 322) west, from the Cleveland Heights area. Take all the way to Euclid Avenue, and turn left onto Euclid Avenue. Take Euclid until you get to East 55th. Turn right onto East 55th and take to St. Clair. Turn left onto St. Clair and take it to Tom’s which right before you go over I-90. The Restaurant will is on the left-hand side.

WHAT: Enjoy the day at Eastlake's minor league ballpark as our Captains take on the Kannapolis (MD) Intimidators. There are no bad seats in this park!
WHERE: Captains Park is located at the corner of SR 91 and Curtis Road in Eastlake. To get there, take I-90 East to SR 91 exit. Turn right at exit, and take 91 until you reach the ballpark, just past SR 2. Parking ($2) will be on the right hand side.

"Cancellation Policy - Mosaic holds approximately 48 events a year. Sometimes, it is necessary to cancel an event due to lack of participation, weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control. When we cancel an event, we always phone those people who have RSVPd to let them know of the cancellation. However, if one doesn't RSVP and then an event is cancelled, we can't be responsible if you show up to a cancelled event. We suggest that each one of you RSVP to the Event Host for each event.
