MOCA INTERNATIONAL Gets Busy for 2006
The Shenandoah Shindig is
behind us, and wow, what a weekend! Thanks again to
everyone who made the magic happen. If you want to see some of
what we did, Andy has graciously created a
photo website where
attendees can post the pics they took at
http://mosaicphotos.jewishnetwork.com
Now we need your help to start planning for 2006! Usually about
this time, a local club comes forward and volunteers to host the
International Event. In 2005 it was Maryland; In 2004
Massachusetts and New York split the job; In 2003 Chicago hosted,
and in 2002 we went north of the border to Toronto. So, where will
we be next year? Please let us
know if your club wishes to host in 2006. Contact
LizMosaic@yahoo.com
with your suggestions, and they'll be brought before the Board.
Thanks in advance!
The 2006 MOCA Winter Event and
Ski Trip plans are underway. We hope to have a date and
place selected by Thanksgiving at the latest. We're currently
looking at late February - early
March. We have ruled out a few places already, and are
narrowing the search. Current
front runner is Steamboat Springs, but stay tuned, as
things can change.

Club Med in Crested Butte, CO that is All-Inclusive!

The MOCA Team
New MOCA Board for 2005-2006
At the Shenandoah Shindig over Labor Day weekend, Brian
Horowitz and Dave Liebman were elected to the MOCA Board
in Member-at-Large positions. The position of Secretary
is currently vacant. In addition, Treasurer Heidi
Fleisher and Member-at-Large Matt Slotkin resigned their
positions subsequent to the Event. The current Board

Steve Berger; Secretary (vacant); Tresurer (vacant);
Members-at-Large: Liz Friedman, Daniel Gotlieb, Brian
Horowitz, and Dave Liebman (plus one vacant spot).
The six largest clubs have recently appointed members
to the Board to serve one-year terms, and their names
will be announced once their appointments have been
confirmed.
Congratulations to the new MOCA Board members, and
thanks to all of our departing Board members: Sharon
Mittleman, Barry Laves, Matt Slotkin, Susan Wolfson, and
Lenny Newman, for their year(s) of service,
behind-the-scenes work, and tireless attendance at
monthly Board meetings!

Late February - Early March (Dates TBD)
Stay tuned as details are finalized for the MOCA Annual

there in the evenings, including renting out a natural hot
spring for a *real* hot tub experience! We'll let you know
when approvals are gained and contracts are signed --
sometime in November at the latest! Contact LizMosaic@yahoo.com
