DETAILS We would like to remind you of this upcoming regular event.
Join us at Memorial Park for a walking, hiking or biking on the
1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.
The 3 groups will meets twice each month for a brisk walk, hike or bike on
the Memorial Park Trails. Check out scenery and make new friends.
It is a 3 mile trek for the walkers and hikers, more for the mountain bikers,
less for the basic biker.

LOCATION Brazos Bend State Park (50 minutes South of Houston)

COST $5 for Houston-Members, 10$ event fee for Guest
TEAMS: $10 for each Team of 4 cookers (cookers get in free)
Details for Camping cost and meals for those that wish to stay the night; tba.
RSVP This event must have RSVPs in advance to reserve park space
as this is a busy weekend at the park.
There is a min to make this event happen (Park restrictions)

BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS !


CHILI COOK-OFF RULES

1. All cooking team members must be signed up no later than
Thursday, December 4th.

2. Name of cooking team must be submitted before the judging begins,
preferably upon sign-up

3. Cooking teams will consist of no more than 4 people.

4. Individual cooking teams will not be reimbursed for cooking expenses.

5. Set-up time for all cooking teams at 4 p.m., ready to serve at 5 p.m.

6. Cooking teams will provide own pot, burner to heat chili, and serving utensils.
(we can provide a burner if you let us know in advance)

7. Cooking teams must enter minimum of ½ gallon of chili.

8. Judges will not be allowed to be on cooking teams.

9. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
----------Best presentation, Best tasting chili, Most original chili------------

 

ACTIVITY Picnic and Play Day at Memorial Park with some dogs and more.

COST Free for Houston-Members, 5$ event fee for Guest
RSVP So we know how much ice, hotdogs and drinks to provide.
You only need to bring a side dish.

DETAILS Bring your bike, roller blades, Frisbees, Bring A dish and
Join us for an afternoon of cycling, roller blading, hiking or just
schmooze in the park for a Sunday Happy Hour to relax.
Refreshments and a Kosher Hot-dog will be provided;
you provide a side dish to share.
Look for the MOSAIC sign along the Memorial Park Picnic Loop,
on the South side of Memorial Drive, across from the Volleyball courts.

EXTRAS: Bring your dog, borrow ONE or just come out
and enjoy someone else's dog. :) Please, only friendly,
well-socialized dogs are encouraged to join us.

DETAILS Last year's event was great fun, so we are doing it again.
Join Us for this Great Celebration as the Tradition Continues
and this event grows bigger and bigger. What better way to enjoy the
festival of lights than to share it with friends Texas style, cook
latkes, light your menorah, exchange gifts
, win a prize in the raffle
and have fun? Everyone needs to bring a potluck side dish or desert.
Latkes and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
Bring your menorah, a gift valued between
$10-$15 for the gift exchange, a dish to share and sit by the fire,
with a friend. And remember the $Dollar$ raffle; 7 prizes and a silent auction.
