Dress to
Impress as we attend Marti Gras in Galveston
Join us for an early dinner on the way to Galveston at a great Chinese
restaurant in Webster.
We will meet at the JCC about 3 PM to carpool. We plan to be in
Webster about 4 PM, to eat dinner at Hot Wok, 20798 Gulf Freeway.
Anyone from Clear Lake can meet us at Hot Wok, Any
stragglers, or people from the Clear Lake area, can meet us at Hot
Wok.
Complete Description:
Knights of Momus Grand Night Parade - Starts at 6:30pm. A dazzling
salute to the Rainforests of the World featuring magnificent
illuminated floats, spectacular Samba dancers, the famed Philadelphia
Mummers, 20 marching bands, beads, trinkets - 21st & Seawall Blvd.,
proceeding to 25th St. to the Strand Entertainment District.
Ellen Marcus will carry her cell phone (713.828.0518) for emergencies.
Traffic may be heavy, but we should get to Galveston and the parade
route by 6:30 PM. The parade crosses Broadway en-route to the Strand.
There is a big monument at that
intersection. We can watch the parade from there. The trip is subject
to cancellation if the weather is bad.
