-------- Activity Write-up --------
Adopt-A-Block program with Mosaic

Mosaic Outdoor Club of Houston has adopted the "block" in front of the JCC from Chimney Rock to Hillcroft. Our first clean up was April 29. What a success! Nine dedicated and energetic people participated. You don't realize the amount of litter on our streets and bayous until you set out to clean them! We felt proud after looking down the Bayou to find the previously trash covered banks to be litter free! Many walkers and bikers stopped to thank us, and people in cars honked and waved as they drove by. Several people asked who we are and why we were cleaning up. At the end of our day, 19 bags of trash were collected and disposed of. Come join us next time for our Adopt-A-Block clean up sponsored by the Keep Houston Beautiful campaign.
