ACTIVITY: *Texas Renaissance Festival
DATE: Sunday, Nov 5th, 2000
TIME: 9:00 AM till ??
LOCATION: Meet in the JCC parking lot at 9:00 AM to caravan and carpool, or meet at the front gate to the Renaissance Festival at 11:00 AM. We will depart the JCC promptly at 9:15 AM.
COST: $16 for Members, $18 for Non-members.

DETAILS: Discount tickets are available for You EARLY BIRDS if you RSVP to Rachel, she will give you the details and confirm the avaliability of the tickets. Then arrange to get the money to her or mail in a check by Monday, 30 October 2000.
OR you can purchase your own Regular adult admission is $19.95 at the gate. Discount tickets are available at Diamond Shamrock convenience stores for $16.95 while supplies last, But buy your ticket ASAP. Bring extra money for food, drink, souvenirs, fortune telling, games, etc

DETAILS: Inks Lake State Park is located in Burnet County in the Central Texas Hill Country. The Park is a panorama of cedar and oak woodlands and pink granite outcroppings. ACTIVITY: Big Bend National Park and West Texas Spectacular Retreat!
DATE: Saturday, Nov. 18 to Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000
TIME: Nov. 18-25th, 2000
LOCATION: East Texas
COST: $800.00

DETAILS: Join Keith Rosen, Vice President and Leadership Director of the Mosaic Outdoor Club of Houston, on a spectacular week long expedition to west Texas and Big Bend National Park. The trip will run from Saturday, November 19 to Saturday, November 25 to take advantage of both the long Thanksgiving weekend and the great conditions in Big Bend at that time of the year. Keith has scheduled exciting activities throughout the week. In addition to hiking in Big Bend National Park, participants will raft through a canyon on the Rio Grande River, ride horses in the Chihuahuan Desert, scuba dive or snorkel at Balmorrhea, star gaze at the McDonald Observatory in the Davis Mountains, spelunk in the beautiful Caverns of Sonora, visit Langtry, Texas, home of the legendary Judge Roy Bean, and much, much more.. Lodging for this trip will be in hotels, lodges, cabins and possibly a dude ranch for one night. The cost of this trip is $800.00 and includes all lodging, activities, and admission fees. Participants will pay for their own meals, snacks, gasoline and souvenirs. If you have been to Big Bend National Park before, you know what a fantastic trip this will be. If you have never been to Big Bend, this is the opportunity that you have been waiting for! The RSVP deadline for this trip is October 31, 2000.
