August 29, 2002 thru September 2, 2002 - Labor Day Weekend "This year's MOSAIC National Event was held over Labor Day weekend at Camp White Pine near Haliburton, Ontario, (aboot, 3 hours north ofToronto, eh!)... Twelve fellow Chicagoans (among other Chicago natives living around the USA....) joined 220 other Jewish folks and enjoyed four absolute beautiful days in the Canadian Northwoods. Activities included mountain biking, canoeing, ropes, waterskiing, hiking, wolf watching, stargazing, sailing and a host of other summer camp type activities. I, for one, could say I water-skied for the very first time in my life and lived to tell about it. We were even treated to hearing a violinist from the Toronto Symphany Orchestra play some tunes for us around the campfire! Hope to do it again next year!" --Report Filed by: Neil Libby.
