We offer trips of different types to offer a full spectrum of choices for our
members. If you're not sure, please contact the event leader to get further
detail.

Easy

Trips
with a maximum distance of 5 miles round trip and an altitude gain up to 500
feet.

Intermediate - Trips up to 10 miles
round trip and an altitude gain up to 1,000 feet.
- Advanced - Trips up to 15 miles round
trip and an altitude gain up to 2,000 feet.
- Difficult - Trips over 15 miles round
trip and/or over 2,000 ft. altitude gain. Steep or rough terrain.
- Extremely Difficult- Hikes over 20
miles with an elevation gain of more than 2,000 feet.
Backpacking
- Easy - Trips
with maximum distance of 5 miles round trip and altitude gain to 500 feet.
- Intermediate - Trips mostly on trail
up to 7 miles round trip and altitude gain to 1,000 feet.
- Advanced - Trips partly on trail up
to 10 miles round trip and altitude gain to 1,500 feet.
- Difficult
- Encounter bushwhacking, steep slopes, rock. 10 mi. and/or over 1,500 ft.
altitude gain.
Bicycling
- Easy - Trips
with a maximum distance of 20 miles round trip over primarily level terrain.
- Intermediate - Trips up to 35 miles
round trip over rolling hills-type terrain.
- Advanced - Trips up to 50 miles round
trip with steep terrain.
- Difficult - Trips of an excess of 50
miles round trip and/or involving gains as on mountain passes.
