Tent Camping at Nancytown Group Campground, GA

(formerly Lake Russell Group Campground)

Friday to Sunday, April 07-09, 2006

Leader: Barbara Schlefman dr_barbara@bellsouth.net 770-604-3803

Are you an experienced tent camper?
Or maybe you’ve never gone tent camping before?
This is the perfect time to experience the event.
This will actually be my fourth camping event.
I was clueless the first time, had no equipment,
and here I am now being able to lead a small group.

Lake Russell is a quick one-hour drive from Atlanta.
Our campsite abuts this 100 acre lake.
There are three hiking trails: the Lake Russell Trail,
the Ladyslipper Trail and the Sourwood Trail.
Pit toilets and parking are within the campsite.
Stores are close by as well.

For more information concerning the amenities of the campground,
please check the website at:

Weekend activities will include the following:

Friday, April 7, 2006:
Carpools will leave from Atlanta and vicinity at various times.
We will have shabbot services around 8pm at the campfire.
Dinner on your own as people will be arriving at various times.
You can arrive anytime after 2pm.

Saturday April 8, 2006:
Breakfast, morning hike or bike, lunch, afternoon hike or bike,
pot luck supper, Havdallah services, campfire.

(You can join Mosaic for $25/yr).

which will be discussed at the pre-camping trip meeting.
