Ready for a slightly longer but relatively flat ride?
We池e riding from the Carter Center to Stone Mountain on the Freedom Trail.
This is about 15 miles in each direction for a total of 30 miles.
We値l be starting at the Carter Center on the southwestern parking
lot, near the trail. And following the trail through Freedom Park
then on to some roads then on to the trail again as we wind our way
to Stone Mountain.
We値l loop around the Stone once or twice (depending on the time
and how the group feels) and then wind our way back to the Center.
After, we値l head to a local eatery for lunch.
Bring your ideas for a cool lunch spot.
Otherwise I知 thinking Fellinis? (I like their salads, what can I say?)
Later in the spring and maybe the summer, we may try this loop
as a midweek evening ride. I haven稚 yet ridden the whole course
but I do have a map (important since some of the signage is down).
Since this is effectively an in and out loop
we may split the group into fast and slow.
The Slow group may not make it all the way to the stone
if the fast group is much faster.
Each group will have a clear leader with a good map
悠値l probably stay with the slower group, just in case.
