Leader: Bonnie Rubin tazlina25@comcast.net 404-788-5788

Join Mosaic in the North Georgia Mountains at Vogel State Park
where we will hike the Bear Hair Trail.
This trail is an easy to moderate loop approximately 5 miles
from start to finish.

Lunch will be at the top overlooking Lake Trahlya.
The lake was named for a Cherokee maiden who is buried
a few miles from the park at Stonepile Gap.
Watch closely: you will see the Stonepile on your drive up.

Meet: Mansell Park and Ride - exit 8 off GA-400 north.
Heading north, take a left onto Mansell,
then left after the underpass into the Park and Ride lot.

Meet Time: 9:30am

Depart Time: 9:45 sharp

Return Time: approx 5:00 pm

Bring: Hiking boots, water, snacks, lunch, money for parking/driver,
and appropriate clothing for the weather -- Vogel is at an elevation
of 2500 feet so it could be cold -— and sun block.

Cost: free for members; $3 for non-members,
(or join that day for $25/year)

There is a $2.00 parking fee at the park
and you will need to chip in for gas to help your driver.

Dogs are welcome on the trail
but must be on a leash while in the park.
