Ability Level: EASY, perfect for children and adults

Many of you have asked for events to start later in the day.
Some of you have children in Hebrew School and can't make it
to our Sunday events because they just start too early.
Many of you have asked for family friendly events.

WE HEAR YOU!! And WE DELIVER!!

Hank is here to bring you the Family-friendly afternoon
at the Silver Comet Trail.

The Silver Comet as many of you know is a Rails to Trails project.
That means an old railroad bed was paved over and fixed up
and made into a trail for bikers, skaters, walkers
and even those in strollers.
The grade is mostly level, as you might expect to handle old-time
locomotives. You can learn more about the Silver Comet at
http://www.trailexpress.com/silvercomet/index.php and other sites.

We'll be starting at the 4.2 mile marker.
There's a bike shop there where you could rent a bike if you need
or get a quick fix if something isn't working on your bike.
Some of Mosaic's more experienced riders may also be able to help.

We'll ride for just a couple of hours but don't worry about keeping up,
there will be fast riders and slow riders, fast and slow skaters,
some people walking briskly and others pushing strollers.

Dogs are welcome on the trail (on a leash)
but be courteous to the bikers and skaters and fellow walkers.

After the ride, some of us will gather for a nosh nearby.
