Hunger Walk - Atlanta Community Food Bank

Did you get enough to eat today? More than 12%
of your fellow Georgians have trouble doing that each day.
They include the working poor, victims of physical or
mental illness, single parent families, people who have
lost jobs, the elderly, and many, too many, children.

The Hunger Walk is sponsored by the Atlanta Community Food Bank
and raises money for numerous community hunger relief programs
including several Jewish organizations. In fact, the Hunger Walk
used to be on Saturdays, but was changed to Sunday many years ago
to allow the Jewish community to participate.
Make our community and Mosaic proud by being an active participant this year.

It's easy! This is a fun 5 K walk that starts and finishes
at the home of the Braves, Turner Field, and loops through downtown.
There is water and entertainment along the way. There are thousands
of people out there helping to raise money for those in desperate
need. You can be one of them!

Many of our members also choose to participate in the 10K run
which starts earlier, at 1PM. If you are doing this,
let me know so we can look for you to cheer you on!

RSVP is not mandatory, but is very helpful.
Thousands of people attend and we want to know to keep
an eye out for you! Please make you're your plans early
so you'll have time to obtain sponsors!

Ability Level: Easy. Almost like walking.

Location: Turner Field (Atlanta Braves Baseball Stadium)

Meet Time: 2PM to register, then walk at 2:30PM
It takes a while to park, sign in, and get the group together.

Cost: minimum $25 in pledges/donation; no additional Mosaic fee.
