Yep it's Suberbowl Sunday, and later in the day
we will have a hike and Superbowl Party.
But why not start your day off with a scenic bike ride
northeast of Atlanta in the Wine Country near Chateau Elan?

Yes, this is the same ride I led in December that many of you
missed due to the threat of rain. So, here's your chance!

This ride has two options.
A short option that will be less than 26 miles
and a long option that will be less than 35 miles.
I'm thinking the faster more experienced riders will enjoy
the 35 mile option in about the same time frame as the rest
of us will enjoy the 26 mile option.
The short option group will stay together whereas the long option
participants will be on their own with maps and directions.
We'll see who wants to do what when we get there.

We'll be riding for about 2.5 hours,
then we'll go over to a nearby restaurant.

Meeting Time: 9:45AM (this is when we'll explain the route
so come earlier if you need more time to pump your tires
and change your shoes.)

Ride Start Time: 10 am

Return time: 1 pm; maybe a little earlier or later if you stay for lunch.

Meeting Location: at the Publix Parking Lot across from Chateau Elan

Directions:
85 North to Ext 126,
Turn Right off the exit traveling west on route 211
(follow signs for Chateau Elan);
Just after Chateau Elan
Turn right into the second entrance of the Publix parking lot.
Park near the second entrance.

Bring: Bike, Helmet, Fluids (water or electrolyte mix or sports drink or similar)
There may not be any place to stop to refill during the ride.
Weather appropriate biking clothes. Remember it may be cold so plan for it.
Money for lunch. Optional Bike repair tools spare tire, camera.
Even though it's cold you still should use sunblock on exposed skin.

Cost: Free to members; $3 for non-members
(remember you can join that day for just $25)

Next Month's Ride: Kennesaw Mountain Area Loop.
This is a 33 mile moderately strenuous ride with a good bit of hills.
But definitely doable by many mosaicers.
