Have you ever dreamed about visiting Africa?
Or perhaps you already have visited and want to remember the night sky?
Here's your chance to see the stars as they appear from Africa.
The planetarium promises a trip across the African continent
as we hear myths and legends of the stars and skies.
We'll explore the dark skies of the winter season
through the stories of the many peoples of Africa.
The planetarium show is about 45 minutes,
so we'll regroup and head over to a nearby eatery.
Suggestions are welcome. (Possibly Fellini's on Ponce?)
Cost: $4 for adults and $3 for children; plus $3 for non-members
(or join that night for the low price of $25 for the year)
Meeting Time: 7:30 (show time is 8 pm but let's be early
so we can introduce ourselves and socialize a bit)
Meeting Location: front entrance of Fernbank Science Center
