Start off the new year with Mosaic’s first bike ride for 2006.
We’re starting easy on this most famous rail-to-trail, The Silver Comet.
Because it’s so easy we’re inviting bladers and strollers.
Or any reasonable type of transportation.
In the past, we had some who wanted to run the whole way.
Are you training for a foot race? Come and join us.

We’ll be riding for about 2 to 2 ½ hours. Distance is no object.
Just time. Go as far as you can go in just under half the time.
Remember, it’s always harder on the way back.
But think of the incentive: After the ride, we’ll regroup
in the parking lot and head over to a local eatery.
(There are several restaurants at the meeting site to choose from
and some more options down the road.)

Meeting Location: Publix Shopping Center
Corner of East-West Connector and S Cobb Drive.
This is about Silver Comet mile marker -1, (yes that’s a negative sign)

Directions: From I 285 on the West side of Atlanta, take Exit 15;
Turn Right onto S. Cobb Pkwy;
Travel about 1.4 miles and turn Left onto East-West Connector
(you should see the publix shopping center on your right)
Travel 0.3 miles and turn Right onto Gaylor Street (right after the Burger King)
Travel 0.1 miles and turn into the parking lot.
Travel all the way across the parking lot over near the bank
and park on the row facing the East-West connector.

Meeting Time: 9:45 If you have to put your shoes or blades on,
or pump your tires come a little earlier so you’ll be ready
for the “the Mosaic Circle” at 9:45
